Possibly used for medicine making due to the unusual and rare sprout. The inscriptions are words of prase to Allah. Collection of Fred Carasso (1899-1969) an Italian born famous Dutch sculptor and collector of fine Arts, and family collection. This bowl was already in his private collection in the 1950's
