China, blue and white porcelain Transitional ewer and a jarlet, Wanli, the ewer decorated with a river-landscape below bands of stylised flowers, the jarlet with a bird between bamboo and chrysanthemum, provenance: Dutch private collection. Condition: the neck of the ewer is restored with composite material and overpainted, the handle is restuck and also infilled with composite material, there is a large frit to the lower tip, there is a firing crack to the base. The jarlet is restored and overpainted around its short neck, it also has a short hairline rim crack.
