Sumatra, Karo Batak, a rare priest's attribute,
being a kneeled anthropomorphic figure with extended arms, the hands with six digits. Separately carved and attached upper and lower legs and a central column fitted into the body and extending the base, inlaid ceramic eyes and a cotton fibre turban with traces of feathers. Private Dutch collection.
