China, pair of blue and white baluster vases and covers, 19th century, both decorated with elegant ladies playing weiqi in a fenced flower garden, the covers with fo-dog-finials, both with apocryphal Kangxi mark, provenance: Dutch private collection. Condition: one has a restored rim chip of 4.5 x 6 cm, the other has a restuck rim chip of 11 x 4 cm and a rim crack of 3 cm. One cover with various rim chips, the other cover with chip to finial.
