Painted plantfiber, wood panels, raffia plume and replaced Vondelpark feathers. Provenance Polak Works of Art and probably Loed van Bussel, collected in the field. Head-dresses representing good spirits which were made for a feast commemorating generational change which is celebrated every 25 years by the Uvol people, on the South West of the island of New Britain.
