Male and female figure with articulated genitals, the woman with carved keloid scarifications, both with rows and carved hairline and protruding lips and short flat noses. Embracing facing couples are rare but can be found in neck rests. As figural groups they are mostly know holding a bowl in their hands, mboko, see Yale nr. 27156 or see Yale 42709 where a facing couple is holding a child. This figure came in the collection of an artist from The Hague in the ’60’s.
