China, a blue and white porcelain bowl, Kangxi period (1662-1722),

modelled with flaring sides, the exterior painted with two large butterflies and a cricket perched on a leaf of grass in rock work garden grown with orchids and leaves, the interior with a roundel showing further plants in a garden surrounded by a band of various flowers at the rim, the base with apocryphal Jiajing mark (small nick to rim and to foot rim)
