A French pendant by Emile Dropsy (1848-1923).

Depicting the Virgin Mary against a background of plique a jour enamel. Signed E. Dropsy. Jean-Baptiste Émile Dropsy (1848–1923) was a renowned French medallist and engraver who broke away from his family’s sculptural tradition to pursue metalwork. Trained in Paris, he became known for his expressive religious and nature-inspired medals, combining broad, fluid modelling with an elegant Art Nouveau sensibility.
