Indonesia, two man’s cloths for ceremonial use.
One from Sulawesi, Galumpang, To Mangki Toraja, 19th century (and earlier). Loin cloth 'pio uki', for ceremonial use only. Handspun, traces of wear. For a similar piece see B. Khan Majlis, Gewebte Botschaften, Hildesheim 1991, S.375ff.
The other from West Sumba, third quarter 20e century. Body cloth rusu(rohu)-banggi, one piece, probably status related length, fringes.
