in the left upper corner the name Agil. in the lower left corner monogram P.V. On the reverse attached label 'ter aangename herinnering aan de Missie te Merauke, 17 nov. 1932'. This portait was probably gifted to G.W. Venhuis by the MSC-mission in Merauke, as a memory his work in Merauke between 1930-1933.
28 x 17 cm. framed.
Provenance: Collection W.G. Venhuis and his wife, Mrs. A. Venhuis-Mulder. Collected when they were stationed in Merauke between sept 1930 - end of 1933. W.G. Venhuis was a doctor doing research into malaria. From late 1933 they were back in Bali.
