A photograph album with 82 photo's concerning the peoples around Merauke, Marind Anim, Yabar and Yei-Nan. The rest of the Album with various subjects, mainly Bali, 1933. Herewith 8 large black and white photographs, two collored; 19 postcards from MSC-mission Merauke; 32 black and white photographs of various formats about Merauke and tribal images of the surrounding peoples.
Provenance: Collection W.G. Venhuis and his wife, Mrs. A. Venhuis-Mulder. Collected when they were stationed in Merauke between sept 1930 - end of 1933. W.G. Venhuis was a doctor doing research into malaria. From late 1933 they were back in Bali.
